Emu is a large bird similar to the ostrich, which generally lives in Australia. The oil from this animal’s fat is a very fashionable natural remedy for damaged hair or nails.
What does emu oil contains?
The oil obtained from emu’s fat is full of omega-3 and omega 6.It contains a lot of vitamin A (repair skin and hair), vitamin E (antioxidant), oleic acid (cellular regeneration) and other substances that soften and moisturize the skin and nails.
Another advantage of the using the natural emu oil is that it acts deep within the tissue, it is non-toxic, does not clog the pores, is hypoallergenic, and forms a protective barrier on the area that is being treated.
Mix a few drops of emu oil with ½ cup of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of castor oil. Put everything in a bowl and leave to heated ceramic heater or a stove on low temperature. Do not put the mixture of natural oils on fire because some vitamins can be destroyed at high temperatures.
Once the oil has warmed slightly, soak nails exfoliate the bowl and keep them submerged (fingernails must be completely covered by oil) for about 5-10 minutes until the oil cools down.
